  Artist of the Month:



Gina Larkin

             Gina Larkin has been writing poetry for the last ten years. She has had her work published in more than 30 magazines and anthologies including POTPOURRI, EXIT THIRTEEN, BLACK BUZZARD, and EARTH’S DAUGHTERS. She has been awarded prizes from Anderie Press, ByLINE, WRITERS’ DIGEST (Top 100); nominated for the David Rey Poetry Prize. Her short story “THE HOUSE” won first place at the Philadelphia Writers’ Conference and her poem “Cancelled Flights” was chosen for the BLUELINE ANTHOLOGY.

           As a featured reader, Ms. Larkin has appeared at Barron Art Center Poets Wednesday, the Metuchen Coffee House, Borders Book Store and the Delaware Valley Poets. As the Chairperson of the Edison Arts Society Literature Committee, she initiated the popular “Poetry in the Classroom” program teaching workshops in several elementary schools in Edison, doing Creativity Programs with the PTA, and sponsoring poetry readings at the local high schools. Ms. Larkin is the Editor of the annual Edison Literary Review magazine, whose premier issue was published in summer of 2002.

          Gina has a BA in Chemistry from St. Joseph’s College and a Master of Religious Education from Princeton Theological Seminary. She was the head of the Religion Department at Bishop Ahr High School until her retirement in 1996.
