Efforts to Help Haiti and Chile
Our thoughts and prayers are for the people of Haiti & Chile during this time of great devastation. We as an Arts Society recognize the tremendous beauty of both cultures, and the spirit of its nation’s individuals. So many of us have been thinking about ways that we can help. Donations of whatever you are able to give to places like the Red Cross, or the Cinton-Bush relief fund are certainly immediate links to the aid relief effort. The Edison Arts Society will be presenting a benefit to add our voice of caring to the many wonderful things that have been ongoing in the United States since this terrible disaster occurred, to help the Haitian & Chilean people rebuild their lives their ultimate survival will undoubtedly be ongoing for the months and years ahead. The EAS is committed to doing whatever we are able to do, in order to give what we can to make a continued effort of help a real possibility. In times of crisis, the arts have always found ways to inspire and uplift people, nations, and the world at large. Once again, it is time, and we are grateful to the many gifts of our artists at EAS, and our many friends and supporters, to help carry forward this mission. We will be announcing our artistic benefit in the days ahead, and hope that you will all join us in this effort. In the meantime, thank you for all of your personal efforts to give to these catastrophic relief efforts.
The true kindness and generosity of the American people is our country’s greatest treasure. Thank you for sharing this with those in need.
