Edison Arts Society
Student Internship Program

We offer internship possibilities for college students, to work with and to learn from the professional artists in residence, and guest artists, within our membership, and beyond. Student interns are selected from a pool of applicants, who work throughout each season, in a cross-disciplinary manner, unparalleled in augmenting standard academic training. On average 8-10 interns have been offered this opportunity each season. Additional Internships are also available for returning adult professionals, and others of interest.

The Edison Arts Society's former "Student Ambassador Program" has evolved into an exciting new opportunity for selected qualified students in the surrounding colleges to participate within. We wish to provide unique possibilities for students to learn from and work with the exceptional artists who reflect the various disciplines within our art society; therefore we have established a student internship program. Interns are honorary members of the Edison Arts Society.

Students are be assigned internships according to their backgrounds and interests, as well as the needs of the particular artistic disciplines within our society. Discipline Chairs and Directors, in conjunction with EAS staff, will help decide the placement of the particular internship.

After being placed, the interns are responsible for contacting the disciplines for information on how you can assist with upcoming events.

At the end of the internship year, there is a final meeting of all the interns and EAS staff to review specific accomplishments. Any additional individualized meetings are established by the needs of the particular internship. Internships are renewable annually.
