Middle & High School Poetry Contest

The Edison Arts Society's Literature Committee will sponsor its annual Poetry Contest for middle and high school students in the local Edison area. One poem from each grade level (6 through 12) and runner ups will be chosen and placed into a booklet form for display at the Arts Society and in the school libraries. Winners from grade 11 and 12 will also be considered for publication in EAS's annual Edison Literary Review magazine.

Winners of the competition will be invited to read at a special Poetry Reading at the Menlo Park Mall Barnes and Noble Bookstore on Tuesday evening May 27th, 2008 at 7pm.
Many thanks to Andrea Brooks, Com. Rel. manager at Barnes and Noble, for all of her help.

If any of the students or your school wishes to order extra copies of the winner's booklets, please notify EAS. The cost per booklet is $2.00.

Once again we hosted another successful reading and sincerely thank the schools and teachers for their continued interest and participation with this competition.
