"There's a Song in my Art"

"There's A Song in My Art" was a Statewide juried exhibit displayed at the Gallery of the Edison Arts Society, located in the Sheraton Edison Hotel at Raritan Center.  This exhibit opened on Sunday June 4, 2006 and featured works by twenty-one artists for five months.  The juror for "There's a Song in My Art" was Jeffrey Weschler, Senior Curator at the Zimmerli Museum in New Brunswick. The reception/opening was to the public free with music by the John Asti Trio, refreshments provided by the Sheraton Edison Hotel, and a cash bar.

The Gallery of the Edison Arts Society is a joint venture between the eight-year old Edison Arts Society and its corporate partner, the Sheraton Edison Hotel at Raritan Center. Exhibits hang in this venue for five-months and are viewed by multitudes of out-of-town visitors as well as locals who frequent the Hotel for meetings, galas, lunches or dinners. With its first opening on November 24, 2001, the Gallery found its home on 50 feet of wall space in the well-traveled, beautifully maintained lobby of the Hotel, near the café. The Hotel sponsors Gallery openings with a lavish reception buffet, along with live entertainment provided by EAS. Our last opening in June 2006 was attended by close to 200 artists and art enthusiasts..
