Artists of the Season: Spring 2004

    KATHY GREGORIN
Director of Sales and Marketing
Sheraton Edison Hotel at Raritan Center
The Edison Arts Society is pleased to honor Kathy Gregorin, the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sheraton Edison Hotel, as our Spring 2004 Artist of the Season. Kathy has been instrumental in securing and promoting the Edison Arts Society’s permanent Art Gallery in her lovely hotel, and has actively participated in coordinating many joint ventures, such as our Movie Magic Dinner Buffet this past March, and the videotaping of the 2004 Winter edition of our “Arts in Edison” cable television program. She and the Sheraton Edison Hotel also host our twice annual Art Gallery openings with lavish food and service and the October Harvest of Poetry reception, which features poets published in our Edison Literary Review magazine.

Kathy grew up in Elizabeth, and attended Benedictive Academy and Felician College. She has three lovely children, one son, a teacher in Old Bridge, and two daughters: one has given her a beautiful grandson who just turned 3, and her youngest daughter is a junior at Rutgers University, pursuing a teaching career in early or elementary education. Two out of her three children are following in their dad’s footsteps – he has been a teacher in Old Bridge for the past 34 years.

Kathy has lived in Monroe Township for 26 years, and has been in the hospitality industry for twelve years, half of them spent in the Edison area. She feels that Edison has a tremendous presence in the state of New Jersey. The Sheraton Edison Hotel, as well as Kathy, are great supporters of the Edison Arts Society. They are honored to house our Art Gallery’s paintings and to be selected as the host hotel for our upcoming May Gala Celebration Ball. Representing the Art Gallery on the Sheraton’s walls has become a focal point for all of their hotel guests as well as their employees. The hotel sales manager’s include the gallery on their site visits and on tours with prospective customers and clients.

Thanks to Kathy Gregorin’s tremendous support of the Edison Arts Society our organization’s fine artist membership has doubled in the past year, attracting artists from as far North as Morristown, Bernardsville and Chester and as far South as Cherry Hill, West Collingswood and Shamong. Congratulations to Kathy and the Sheraton Edison Hotel – we thank you for your incredible support!!
