The Edison Arts Society is pleased to honor Edison artist Loretta Brower with its Spring 2007 Artist of the Season award. Ms. Brower has been an active visual artist member of EAS for many years and a strong supporter of the Arts in our community.

Ms. Brower was born in Newark, grew up in Union and moved to Edison in 1960. Drawing has always been her passion ever since her childhood. Working in different media adds fun and excitement to her days of painting and attending artist workshops and classes also adds to her pleasure. Watercolor is her favorite media and she looks forward to exploring new ideas, media and means of expression.

Ms. Brower has participated in various exhibitions, winning awards, the most prestigious of which was the “Best in Show” for her artwork in Edison Arts Society’s 2006 “Gardens of the Garden State” Art and Photography Exhibit at Menlo Park Mall in Edison.

Ms. Brower is a member of the Edison Arts Society and the Suburban Artists Guild. She has donated countless volunteer hours on the “Gardens of the Garden State” committee for EAS, working at the Mall, setting up the exhibit, and planning the popular three-day event every year.
