Thomas Nunziata J.P. Stevens High School Senior Thomas J. Nunziata Jr., was born on November 6, 1986 here in the great town known as Edison, NJ. Tom has lived his whole eventful life in Edison, along with his parents, Thomas and Sarah, and his two sisters, Melanie (18) and Ann Marie (13). Tom spent his years at St. Helena's School and now is a senior at J.P. Stevens High School. Thomas might have graduated from St. Helena's 4 years ago, but he still spent his time working and creating there. He directed St. Helena's One Act Plays two years in a row for the Edison Arts Society. Both of the plays, This is a Test (2002) and Drama Club (2003) were highly successful and Broadway worthy (well, according to Tom). Well, not exactly Broadway worthy, but still darn entertaining. His only theater experience before he directed was the role of John in St. Helena's 2000 production of Peter Pan. He went on to star in J.P. Stevens' spring 2003 musical The Mystery of Edwin Drood. He is currently rehearsing and part of J.P.'s upcoming musical Leader of the Pack, which is scheduled for March 11-13 this spring! Theater isn't the only thing that has occupied Tom's life. Hockey has been essential to him for over 9 years. He has been playing ice hockey for 8 years and a devout Rangers fan for that long. He loves to watch hockey and organize street games as well. Music has also played a huge role in his life. Countless hours have been spent playing, creating, and listening to music. He has been taking guitar lessons for over 10 years, playing different styles which include blues, jazz, rock, metal, and noise. He loves listening to music, with his tastes going from the Beatles to Radiohead to Mr. Bungle. He hopes to get a music project started someday and write and create interesting, challenging and enjoyable music. His favorite television shows are The Simpsons and Seinfeld. The Simpsons have also been a huge influence and hobby to him as well. He has a Simpsons toy collection which includes over 100 figures, over 25 playsets and plenty of oddball material. Drawing has also been a hobby to him for years as well. Not only does Tom do things for himself, but he also attempts to give back to his community. He spent over 100 hours volunteering at the American Red Cross in Plainfield during the summer of 2003. This, the directing, and everything else is just the start of what could be a successful life for him creatively. Live on and support the Arts! |

He has illustrated a variety of subjects, including cook books, language text books, how-to-home repair, crafts and hobbies, gardening, bible stories, architecture and furniture, medical and scientific subjects and childrens books. His illustrations have appeared in the following prominent publications; Time/Life Books, Readers Digest Books, Doubleday, Western Publishing, Harper and Row, W.W. Norton Facts On File, Henry Holt Publishing, Home Planners and National magazines and newspapers. To counter-balance the restrictions of his commercial illustrations, Ray has sought a more personal and emotional approach. He creates paintings that express the essence and feeling of nature. They are lyrical distillations of landscapes, botanical elements or a particular location.
